after upgrading our own machines (to RHEL4) lately, i can reproduce the
error you saw, viz.

  Warning: Loading clim2:climxm.so failed with error:
           /usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.so.2: undefined symbol: _Xsetlocale.

it appears the problem only affects Allegro CL 6.2, however, and has
been resolved in Allegro CL 7.0 (with current patches).  we had moved
to LKB image creation using version 7.0 sometime in March, so please
give

a shot one day.  my prediction would be for it to work on FC3 too.
