hi jason, thanks for your message!

first, `lingo-admin' is not an ideal address to report problems with
the ERG or other LinGO packages. i copy `developers at delph-in.net' on
this message, a larger group of people that includes the folks behind
the ERG and LKB.

i suspect you may have ended up with an older version of the LKB and a
more recent version of the ERG. over the past few years, we have not
always been able to maintain backwards compatibility. if you grab the
LKB and ERG archives from the same download directory, they certainly
should play together nicely (maybe even do useful things). i suggest
you try a fresh installation from the files here:

  http://lingo.stanford.edu/ftp/latest/

a good way of checking which versions you have is to inspect the file
`Version.lisp' that came with the ERG, and also evaluate the following
in the LKB:

  lkb::*cvs-version*

type the above into the Lisp prompt, i.e. the window that is _not_ the
LKB Top window.  lisp 101.

                    please let us know how things go; all best - oe
