Hi Eric,

good that you could find the problem, but it doesn't really comfort me
that parts of the code must be disabled to make it work. 

I hope this is only because the preprocessor code in LKB is not yet
updated to fit the newest version of PET. Maybe Ben can say something
about this?

Besides, i found the `assertion: is_type() failed' bug thanks to
Berthold providing me with a small example that helped me track down
the error and the svn repository is almost up (i'm about to learn
how the write access works).
