Hi David,
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">I think the problem is that you don’t have a directory /Users/David/tmp/ . If you create it, then I think all should be fine.</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">I ran into this error myself recently when trying a fresh install on a new Mac, and I also noticed that according to the LKB instructions at
<a href="http://moin.delph-in.net/LkbInstallation" class="">http://moin.delph-in.net/LkbInstallation</a> the tmp directory should be ~/Documents/tmp/ -- so in the latest version I’ve changed it to use the latter path and added a more informative error message
in case it doesn’t exist. I’ll make this version available shortly and update all the Macintosh information on the DELPH-IN site.</div>

<blockquote type="cite" class="">Hi all,
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">Well, I finally have a version of the LKB for Macintosh that I’m happy for people to try out. I believe everything in the core of the LKB is functional, but LM and TSDB are not included (yet). I also haven’t tried building it in SBCL or Linux,
but I don’t foresee any problems. Some of my changes will benefit the Allegro/CLIM version.</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">To get started:</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">Find a Macintosh running at least OSX 10.9</div>
<div class="">Download <a href="http://users.sussex.ac.uk/~johnca/lkb.macos_x86_64" target="_blank" class="">http://users.sussex.<wbr class="">ac.uk/~johnca/lkb.macos_x86_64</a> [138MB]</div>
<div class="">Install the XQuartz X Window Server from <a href="https://www.xquartz.org/" target="_blank" class="">https://www.xquartz.org</a></div>
<div class=""></div>
<div class="">Run XQuartz, create a Terminal window, and execute lkb.macos_x86_64</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">The Lkb Top window should appear almost immediately. After that, all should be familiar.</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">I have a list of remaining issues, including:</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">1. Postscript output from window Print buttons is only partially correct.</div>
<div class="">2. There is no source recording.</div>
<div class="">3. Not all characters can be entered into text fields (and these respond only to the standard Emacs key bindings).</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">There are a few cosmetic oddities involving menus, dialogs, and window redrawing - but nothing serious I think. I attach a screenshot showing a random selection of windows.</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">Please give it a whirl and let me know of any problems.</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">Thanks!</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
