ah sorry - evidently didn't swap over to `lkb' on my Windows machine which is
what I'm currently using.

The `what's the policy' was directed at trying to work out how people are using
this - my personal policy (before I managed to forget about the thing) was to
update *cvs-version* every session that I checked in something, but with
possibly several different check ins because different log messages were
appropriate.  Could we agree on doing this?
