[developers] code changes to LKB and [incr tsdb()]

howdy,

i just checked in a bunch of code changes to the CSLI CVS repository,
i.e. the LKB and [incr tsdb()] source trees.  i hope to post more on
the user-visible changes tomorrow, specifically in [incr tsdb()], but
would already encourage everyone to `cvs update'.  the plan for this
coming week is to make a few more LUI improvements, then generate new
builds, and make a public announcement to the LKB and `participants'
lists.  thus, in case you have pending changes that you would like to
see released in a fresh build soon, try to commit things soon.
