surely not! ACE is the code name woodley has adopted for his question
answering system based on the ERG. as of late, it includes a generator
with almost all the bells and whistles; only, it is not running the ERG
trigger rules for vacuous lexical entries yet, hence an input MRS needs
to supply those. for convenience, i put those into the mrs structure,
and allowed printing and reading (in simple format). the default is to
suppress the slot (VCS), however, so no-one should ever get to see it.
as we speak, we are evaluating the ACE generator for use in LOGON. if
nothing else, it appears to be reasonably efficient. i should leave it
to woodley, though, to comment further.
