(As you may know) there is a bug in Allegro CL which under certain
circumstances causes the Lisp process to die (seemingly during garbage
collection) when CLIM is run on 64-bit machines. Unfortunately this is
proving difficult for Franz to debug.

It would help if we could show Franz that the bug does not exhibit
itself solely on our machines in Cambridge. Could I ask anyone else who
has experienced this bug to let Ann and I know (i) on what hardware and
(ii) under what specific OS? We'll pass the information on to Franz, and
I'll keep this list informed on any progress they make.

Franz are also aware of the problems CLIM has with Unicode. Again, I'll
keep this list informed of any progress they might make on this bug...
(none yet).

Thanks!
- Ben
