as i understand it, the latest ERG release does include some files for
experimentation with the `token mapping' setup, but the grammar proper
does not depend on any of the new functionality (my impression in the
past has often been that dan spends a lot of time testing the various
software configurations and modes of use for the ERG).
i doubt you need to worry about this currently. so far, most of what
determines the interactions with external components is in the code or
the various settings files, not really in the grammar. thus i see no
alternative to what c.j. and richard are doing, trying to work out how
exactly SMAF and PET configurations can be brought into alignment.
