[developers] quick check/checkpaths

G'day,

does anyone have any idea of how many items should be parsed when
creating the quick check/checkpaths files for cheap and the lkb
respectively?  I see the ERG  is using a modest 45, while I had been
using a hundred, and worrying it would be too few.
