[developers] Procedure for thinning a set of profiles to best 1 parse

Hi all,

I'd like to convert a largish set of profiles into a set of pseudo-gold
profiles by just selecting the best parse for each item as the (pseudo)
gold tree. I suspect there's a relatively straight forward way to do this,
but am not too familiar with this end of the pipeline. Anyone able to point
me in the right direction?
