[developers] Error on profile update

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. It turns out that Mike's suggestion
did the trick. Once I added "(setf lkb::*tree-discriminants-mode*
:classic)" to the redwoods script in an appropriate looking place
everything proceeded fine. Maybe adding a flag to toggle this behaviour to
the script could be useful?
