yes, i imagine so.  i just checked in an update to the ‘parse’ and
‘redwoods’ scripts in the LOGON trunk that add command line options
‘--modern’ and ‘--classic’ to force either of the two disciminant
modes.  these new options take effect after loading of the grammar,
hence will overwrite a default asserted by the grammar, if any.

please let me know in case this update does not work for you (or
causes surprising behavior).
