[developers] smallish native DMRS grammar

As an aside to the main conversation here, I just want to add that
I'm trying to learn as much as I can about this "characteristic variable
property".  While I understand (I think), what it means for a grammar to
have this property, I think I still lack a bit in my understanding of
how this property connects to semantic theory.

If any of you have suggested readings for me, I'd certainly take you up
on them.
