Dear all,

I'm starting this year's go-round with Ling 567. Since some folks
are already linux users, they are trying to do the LKB install per
these instructions:

http://moin.delph-in.net/LkbInstallation

One of them has run into issues with the LUI, specifically:

* Ubuntu 14.04
* When he starts the LKB, the LUI is not running.
* (lui-initialize) appears to work (e.g. he can display trees)
* When he tries to view the parse chart, LUI crashes:

    [NIL] lsp-loop(): premature end of file (read 1 characters)
    Warning: #<Printer Error, obj=#x54ffaaea: No methods applicable for
generic function
    #<STANDARD-GENERIC-FUNCTION TK::CHARSETS-MISSING-FROM-FONTSET-CHARSETS>
with
    args (#<EXCL:XP-SIMPLE-STREAM printing "Warning: #<" pos 11 @
#x527206b2>) of
    classes (EXCL:XP-SIMPLE-STEAM)>

Stephan, is this related to your question earlier about updating
something in the lingo build? (We're not seeing this problem in the
Ubuntu+LKB appliance, as it happens.)

Should I point him to the logon tree instead?

Thanks,
Emily
