hi paul,

> You didn't show in your invocation of PET that you added the "-packing" option, but you should.

add to that ‘-nsolutions=1’ (or five, or any small integer) to enable
selective unpacking.  in the ERG on-line demonstration, the parser and
generator are controlled from [incr tsdb()], but with the combination
of ‘-packing’ and ‘-nsolutions’ i think you should see equivalent
performance.
