[erg] A small ERG coverage

Hi,
   I would like to ask if someone has knew about a tool to generate a
small coverage set of ERG. I have a corpus of sentences written by
English as a second language (ESL) learners. I would like to generate a
small ERG which just covers the grammar of the grammatical sentences in
the corpus based on their preferred parse trees.

I do take a look on Matrix but I noticed that Matrix uses a version of ERG
which is newer that ERG I used (July 07). My system doesn't work well with
ERG version after July 07. If someone have already a reduced ERG
grammar which just cover basic English for beginners, perhaps can share
with me.
